Techland has revealed that players will need to spend at least 500 hours in order to fully complete Dying Light 2. To give you a better idea of how long the game will take, the developers added that getting from Warsaw to Madrid on foot takes a little more time - 534 hours.
Developers emphasize that people who play for the story will finish the game much faster. Even if they want to complete every available side mission, they can count on about 70-80 hours of fun.
500 hours is therefore the time that only those trying to find absolutely everything the game has to offer have to prepare for. No details were given, but we expect that this includes achievements, collectibles, and unlockable items.
Players present various reactions. Many complain that the game will be too long, but there are also those defending the developers. In this situation, I stand with the latter group. Only the biggest maniacs will spend 500 hours with Dying Light 2 . People who want to go through all the missions and see every variant of the story (which will largely depend on their choices), will have to spend much less time in the game. So it's hard to understand complaints about a lot of additional challenges for players who want to spend more time with this game.
Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022. The game will launch simultaneously on PC as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Owners of Nintendo Switch will also be able to play the game thanks to streaming technology.
